About the Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is a skill which allows for greater ease and efficiency in all activities of living. Most of us have many habitual patterns which constrict us mentally, emotionally and physically.

By becoming aware of habits that interfere with our nature and learning how to prevent these, we can improve our coordination, the way we use ourselves in all levels and change behaviour.

We develop habits as a shortcut to an end. Some of them work but they are not necessarily easy or efficient. And they do not pay attention to the mental, emotional and physical instrument that we have been born with.

Habits just want to get the job done they are not interested in How we are doing it.

Through the practice of a non habitual experience we can learn how to go about our daily activities with greater ease and freedom of movement.
